Leon Elliott Production Manager from Boulder Media on 2D Animation Pipeline A Love story. (07.02.18)

Leons talked was mostly about the Pipeline in the studio and how each one was connected and the importance of his job as production manager was to keep the flow of everything on track so that he doesn't cost the production to have to spend more money. He then went on and talked about applying for jobs Hints and tips for applying.

• Have CV simple and Readable about a page long
• Have a Pdf format when sending a CV
• Software, dont do a graphed of where you think you lie on the graph simply state, Beginner, Intermediate or Pro.
• No need to put address on Cv they don't need to know exactly what house you live in maybe just Dublin, London etc.
• Cover Letters are very important! Keep to a three paragraph structure. Paragraph one “I saw your Job on….” Paragraph two why you want the job and why you should get the Job? Paragraph three Thank them and where they can find Cv, Showreel etc.

He also talked about how people have this sense of entitlement when they get a job in a studio. They have this big ego which gets in the way of their work because they don't like to listen to other people. Leon said remember that everyone in the industry works hard to get where they are. “If you think your the best there are five people that are better than you and if one of those five think there the best there are five more better than them”.
